TRX is a form of suspension training that uses body weight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility, and core stability simultaneously. TRX leverages gravity and the user's body weight to complete exercises. We've got several TRX to supplement a great workout session.
Strengthen your quadriceps and hamstrings with the Seated Leg Curl / Extension Machine from Titan Fitness. This high-quality unit lets you perform leg curls and leg extensions from the same, seated position. This unit was designed with a rotary leg clamp mechanism which easily allows you to enter the machine, lock your thighs in place, adjust the foot roller starting position, and perform full reps every time no matter the size of the athlete. It is not hard to switch from a leg curl to a leg extension workout simply flip the weight post to the opposite starting position. With this, you can strengthen your muscles in a simple and effective manner. This machine allows you to strengthen the back muscles of your thighs. The seated position provides better training on the hamstrings and less tension on the calves.
This machine gets your heart rate up high with a focus on the upper body, which is unique. Unlike every other cardio machine you can think of (minus that arm bike no one really uses), you need to use your upper body primarily to operate the SkiErg. You’ll move from flat feet to tip toes on each stroke (more on form later) but there’s no real ground impact involved.
It’s really great for some people who have injuries to their lower bodies and all of a sudden feel like they can't do cardio. The SkiErg is also a great cross-training tool for runners, or anyone else who participates in a high-impact sport and needs to get in some training days that challenge the heart but go easy on the joints. If you have aches and pains in your knees or hips, the SkiErg is a good option because it’s low-impact and focuses on working the upper body, sparing your joints.
High Intensity Interval Training staple with the Rogue Assault Bike. Low impact and a fat burning killer. This bike is usually hated by most because it's a butt kicker. Basically a sprint on a bike without beating up your joints and body. Usually used to perform quick 30-60 second work intervals. Works your legs and arms while boosting your metabolic rate.
One of the best ways to strengthen your chest, arms, and shoulders is with the dip. One of the staples in most training programs and comes with the ability to do leg raise to build your core/abs. Build your chest or triceps based on the positioning of your body when performing a dip. Flip around and place your back up against the back pad and lift your legs while firmly locked in place at the forearms. Not the easiest of exercises but definitely a must have in any gym/studio.
This little bench packs a bunch working on the most important part of our body as we age, the core. Back extensions to strengthen the lower back are often neglected but can be performed safely on this piece. Lower the bench a few notches and turn around and your performing a core building decline abdominal crunch. Tighten up the core safely and effectively.
Resistance bands have great use alone or to add to other strength training techniques. They're fundamental for functional training and recruit your stabilizing muscles. Low impact and easier on the joints, as well as easy on the go. Along with medicine balls, almost just as many exercises on a machine can be performed with these tools.
Kettle Bells of all sizes up to 80lbs. Great for all sorts of exercises and especially the popular KB swing. Use for many functional exercises and off set training. Landmine attachments (2) for another unique training modality.
